Excessive plastics, algae proliferation? That's where our raw materials come from. And no animals are involved in the manufacturing process by any stretch of the imagination.
Recycled plastic
We reused the equivalent of 3.5 plastic bottles for each pair of boots to create the mesh fabric. What a beautiful thing reincarnation is.
Natural rubber
We use ONLY natural and recycled rubber in the manufacture of the soles. Your feet will carry the solution to another ecological problem.
Organic Cotton
Soft and breathable microfibre thanks to organic cotton. No foreign chemicals for your skin, no harm to the environment.

Thanks to years of experience in the manufacture of fabrics, we have achieved a material that is superior to animal skins.
We use recycled plastic for the nanoparticle bonding of our mesh, with an extra layer of organic cotton microfibre inside for better breathability.

Unfortunately not everything in life is about travelling and dancing, we also have to deal with work and study routines that keep us on the go all day long, that's why our shoes offer ergonomic insoles that cushion and absorb impacts to guarantee maximum comfort.
They also have an extra insole integrated in the middle of the sole just before the recycled tyre tread, providing unbeatable comfort and convenience. You'll want to wear them for work, for touring cities on a trip and for canoeing. Once you try them, it's going to be really hard to take them off.
That's why the sole is stitched directly to the shoe to make it more durable and resistant. The thread is in contrast with the sole according to the colour of the shoe, the interior is made of a special microfibre that improves breathability, the laces are made of cotton, as well as many other small details that make them an unbeatable product.
Eco-Friendly
One of the big problems in the use of animal skins is the chemical products that are used to make them suitable for the manufacture of footwear. The material developed for this footwear does not use chrome, unlike natural leather, which needs this polluting compound to tan the fabrics.
Components such as our thermoformed insoles are made from recycled materials. It is important to reuse as many materials as possible in order to contribute to recycling that protects the environment from large quantities of waste water and toxic products. These are, unfortunately, still very common in conventional garment manufacturing.

The quality standards in Spain are much higher and for this reason we manufacture here, we are committed to local, artisan work with which we feel identified.
In Selbi we do not want to reduce costs at the cost of contributing to the exploitation of labour in underdeveloped countries, nor do we want to renounce to a maximum quality of our shoes due to the few controls, and that is why Selbi shoes are created in a small factory in Elche (Alicante).
Being part of the production process and working closely with our workshop allows us to have complete control over the manufacturing process, and this translates into the results of the final product "made with love". We are passionate about taking care of every detail, from the box to the soles, through the laces, the labels, the motifs and the insoles.

I received them in October and after three months they cracked, I contacted the brand and they facilitated the process for me to send the cracked boots and for free and quickly sent me a new pair.
The boots in addition to being very cool are very comfortable, I do not take them off!
I will buy again in selbi 100% sure.
She says she likes them so much that later she will buy the black ones if these white ones prove to be effective over time, but for now she says that when she walks she seems to fly, that they are super light and very comfortable, the styling of the boot is very cool, and she says that the note that comes in the box, she loved it, you can tell that they are made with ethics and love.
However, I will tell you that the short time she has had them on her foot, she found them very comfortable and loved the design.
I also really like that they have the little studs on top to tighten the boot to the leg as desired.
