Soles made from recycled tyres
Selbi is based on a maxim: to be a responsible company above all. That is why we have set ourselves more than just an end to our Carbon Footprint, we have a clear objective: to achieve Zero CO2 on the planet.
After looking for alternatives
Recycled materials
We are all aware of the massive amount of tyres that are produced to supply the automotive industry - in Spain alone, 250,000 tonnes of used tyres are generated every year. But what happens when they are no longer used? The sad reality is that it is one of the most serious environmental problems worldwide.
We are committed to the protection of the planet
At Selbi we want to be part of the solution to this problem and we are committed to using recycled tyres in our manufacturing process, being pioneers in the use of recycled tyres for our soles. Rubber is an elastic, resistant and durable material, and other brands discard it due to its high cost. Our soles will be made of this material, each one with a different pattern depending on the tyre used. Each sole, each shoe, will be unique. No two will be the same, they will have a history, some kilometres behind and many steps ahead.
A perfect shoe for your everyday life

Simplicity in form and design
Plastic-free
45% accumulates in untreated landfills, causing "cemeteries" with mountains of tyres that form reefs where rodents and insects proliferate. Mosquitoes breed in these places, transmitting fever and encephalitis through bites, and their proliferation in the stagnant water of a tyre is 4,000 times greater than in nature. Another 40% is not controlled and is disposed of by practices such as direct burning, which causes a great deal of pollution due to gas emissions containing harmful particles.
The innovation required to create the future will not come from a single source. Not from science, not from technology, not from governments, not from business, but from all of us. We must harness the collective power of unconventional partnerships to redefine how we will thrive in the future.
